Forward your calls to VoiceMenus: a landline

What forwarding does

Forwarding means: when you do not pick up, your phone company sends the call to your VoiceMenus number instead of its own voicemail. Your phone still rings first. You keep your number. You can turn it off any time.

Turn it on

Landline companies mostly offer only "forward all calls". Choose the simplest option.

Option A: landline to your cell, cell to VoiceMenus

Dial *72 on the landline, wait for the second dial tone, then dial your cell number. Then follow the page for your cell carrier. Two forwarded calls may be billed.

Option B: forward when you do not answer, if your company offers it

  • AT&T Phone for Business: *92YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER# (no answer) and *90YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER# (busy).
  • Spectrum: try *92YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER (no answer) and *90YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER (busy), or set it online under your account's Home Phone settings.
  • Frontier: *92YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER and *90YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER. Fiber customers can set it in the Frontier app.
  • Xfinity, CenturyLink/Lumen, Windstream/Kinetic: only forward-all was found for home lines; use Option A or C.

Option C: forward all calls straight to VoiceMenus

Dial *72YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER (Windstream/Kinetic in some areas: 72#YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER). Your phone will not ring while this is on.

Turn it off

Option A and C: dial *73 (73# on some Windstream/Kinetic lines). AT&T Phone for Business: *93# and *91#. Spectrum and Frontier: *93 and *91.

If it does not work

  • Wait for the second dial tone before dialing the number.
  • Codes vary by region; if you hear no tone, call your phone company.

We're still confirming this step with a real account. If what you see is different, email support@voicemenus.com and we'll update this page.

Test it

Call your business number from a different phone and do not answer. After the rings, you should hear your VoiceMenus menu. If you hear your old voicemail, or nothing, the setting did not take. Try again, or tell us your carrier and we will help.

Heads up: your carrier may bill forwarded calls like any other call on your plan. Most plans with unlimited minutes cost nothing extra.
