Forward your calls to VoiceMenus: your business phone system

What forwarding does

Forwarding means: when you do not pick up, your phone company sends the call to your VoiceMenus number instead of its own voicemail. Your phone still rings first. You keep your number. You can turn it off any time.

Turn it on

Pick yours. In each, set the "if nobody answers" action to forward to your VoiceMenus number after about 20 seconds (4 rings).

  • RingCentral: Settings, then Phone, then Call handling. Add your VoiceMenus number as an outside number, turn it on, set how many rings before it forwards, save.
  • Grasshopper: Settings, then Call Forwarding Settings, then Extensions. Edit the extension, add your VoiceMenus number as the forwarding number, and set how many seconds it rings.
  • Quo (OpenPhone): Call flows. Add a "Forward call" step after the "Ring users" step. After forwarding, the call leaves Quo, so Quo's own voicemail will not record it.
  • Ooma Office: Settings, then Call Handling, then "Forward immediately", and choose a forwarding number. Forwarding only unanswered calls may not be available.
  • Dialpad: Call Handling & Voicemail, then Advanced options, then set the ring time. Forwarding to an outside number on a main line has to be turned on by Dialpad support first.
  • Nextiva: Users, then Voice Settings, then Forwarding, then "Call forwarding (unanswered)". Enter your VoiceMenus number and choose the number of rings.
  • Vonage Business: Admin Portal, then Extensions, then Call Forwarding, then "Add New Number". This forwards all calls; use "Follow Me" if you want your phone to ring first.
  • 8x8: Home, then Users, then your user, then Call forwarding rules. Edit "when no answer" and enter your VoiceMenus number. Tick the box next to the rule and save. A desk phone's own forwarding setting overrides this one.
  • Zoom Phone: Phone, then Settings, then Call Handling, then Edit. Under "when a call is not answered", pick "Forward to External Contacts" and add your VoiceMenus number. Your admin may need to allow it.
  • Google Workspace Voice: Admin console, then Voice, then Ring groups. Set "unanswered calls" to forward to your VoiceMenus number.

Turn it off

Remove your VoiceMenus number from the same setting, or switch the rule back to voicemail, and save.

If it does not work

  • Rules usually apply to one user or extension, not the main company number.
  • Your admin may need to allow forwarding to outside numbers.

We're still confirming this step with a real account. If what you see is different, email support@voicemenus.com and we'll update this page.

Test it

Call your business number from a different phone and do not answer. After the rings, you should hear your VoiceMenus menu. If you hear your old voicemail, or nothing, the setting did not take. Try again, or tell us your carrier and we will help.

Heads up: your carrier may bill forwarded calls like any other call on your plan. Most plans with unlimited minutes cost nothing extra.
