Forward your calls to VoiceMenus: AT&T

What forwarding does

Forwarding means: when you do not pick up, your phone company sends the call to your VoiceMenus number instead of its own voicemail. Your phone still rings first. You keep your number. You can turn it off any time.

Turn it on

You will dial three short codes, one at a time. Each tells AT&T when to forward.

  1. Open the Phone app and use the keypad.
  2. Dial *61*YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER# and press Call. This is "when I do not answer". Wait for the confirmation, then hang up.
  3. Dial *67*YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER# and press Call. This is "when I am busy". Hang up after the confirmation.
  4. Dial *62*YOUR VOICEMENUS NUMBER# and press Call. This is "when my phone is off or has no signal". Hang up after the confirmation.

You can skip the last code if you only care about missed calls.

AT&T says forwarding replaces your AT&T voicemail while it is on. You can only change this from your own phone, not on AT&T's website. Cricket and Consumer Cellular customers use the same codes.

Turn it off

Dial ##61#, then ##67#, then ##62#, one at a time, pressing Call each time.

If it does not work

  • iPhone: turn off Live Voicemail first (Settings, then Phone).
  • Android: try Phone app, then the menu, then Settings, then Calls, then Call forwarding, and set "When unanswered" and "When busy" to your VoiceMenus number.
  • Or dial 611 from your phone.

We're still confirming this step with a real account. If what you see is different, email support@voicemenus.com and we'll update this page.

Test it

Call your business number from a different phone and do not answer. After the rings, you should hear your VoiceMenus menu. If you hear your old voicemail, or nothing, the setting did not take. Try again, or tell us your carrier and we will help.

Heads up: your carrier may bill forwarded calls like any other call on your plan. Most plans with unlimited minutes cost nothing extra.
